Sherwin's New Christmas Single "Global Warming Christmas" - Released to Radio November 14th
Global Warming or Climate Change?
The controversy continues and this holiday season Santa finds himself smack dab in the middle of it all! The snows melting at the North Pole, the EPA's checking his factory emissions and even the reindeer will be subjected to emissions tests.
Sherwin's new holiday single "Global Warming Christmas" pokes humorous fun at Santa's misfortune without taking a position on this slippery subject. Embarking on his 53rd year in music, Sherwin continues to venture into new musical accompaniment styles as he again enters the holiday music arena with a mellow, yet authorative vocal, surrounded by Caribbean rhythms accented with steel drums.
Penned by Glenn Dykstra, (a South Dakota native living in Missouri) Brittany Allyn and Sherwin Linton, the Caribbean flavor of this little ditty will definitely take the chill out of your holidays! Recorded at Hill Top Studios in Nashville, Sherwin called on his long time friends Gregg Galbriath and Sonny Garish plus other members of Nashville's musical A Team to lend their expertise to this timely song. Radio release is scheduled for Friday, November 14th . Call your local disc jockey to make your request.

Sherwin's Mastery Bridge Endorsement
Sherwin would like to extend sincere thanks to our friend John "Woodie" Woodland at
who has done an endorsement install of their new bridge (designed for Fender Jazzmaster, Mustang and Bigsby-fitted Telecasters) into Sherwin's 1959 Jazzmaster. Unlike the previous rock post assembly bridges, the Mastery Bridge posts fit snugly into the diameter of vintage and modern Fender-style thimbles, ensuring the bridge does not change position during performances or between string changes. Sherwin is totally sold and will install this bridge on all of his Jazzmaster models. Sherwin said, "Because of the dynamic transfer of string vibrations directly through the bridge to the body of the guitar there is a much greater tonal spectrum and vibrance emitting from the guitar both acoustically and when electrified." Sherwin said he observed this phenomenon immediately. If you own a Jazzmaster, Mustang or Bigsby Tele this bridge is a must to own!

Summer fairs and festivals
Our summer fair and festival tour is in full swing.  Sherwin and "The Cotton Kings" have just finished six days at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, North Dakota.  It was great to visit with so many of our North Dakota fans and friends and to have the time to meet a bunch of new ones too!  We were excited to visit on air with Merrill Piepkorn on Prairie Public Radio.  Merrill has a great one hour show called "Hear It Now" that broadcasts live from the fair and is aired statewide.
